RIVER GUM hugger mug ~ earth (300-350ml)

This delightful mug is your perfect companion for some timeless self-care, with a book and a nice pot of home-brewed tea, cacao, or latté of choice. 

RIVER GUM hugger mug (300-350ml) is wheel thrown from a stoneware, fine speckled, clay. A coarser slip is used to create a natural warm canvas for flowing hand-carved lines to depict the story of our beautiful red river gums. The inside of the mug is finished with a speckled, light glaze, that overflows the rim. Soft orange and coral tones shine through from the glaze, they closely resemble the warm hues of our beautiful desert. The outer slip has partially melted with a transparant glaze and soothingly integrated the carved lines with the mug. The slip and glaze from this batch have combined to produce a matte, mottled appearance with varying intensities.

Please bear in mind that every piece is individually handmade and therefore will have slight variations, marks or imperfections. This will not take away from the functionality or quality of the piece but rather add to it's unique character. The colors displayed in the pictures may lightly vary from the actual colors due to individual screen settings.

Usage & Care

Slow Earth ceramics is carefully crafted with food safety in mind. Our table ware is perfect for serving your favourite drinks and dishes. 

All pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe unless otherwise stated. Washing by HAND is recommended for the longevity of your ware.

Shipping

At the moment, the shop is set up for delivery in Australia and to the Netherlands. For all other locations, please email us at hello@slowearthceramics.com to enquire about delivery options for your country. 

All ceramic work is packaged with great care and parcels will be sent with sufficient parcel cover through Australia Post. Pieces will be packed within 1-7 days from date of purchase. Please note that I'm located in regional WA and domestic delivery may take 5-14 days. You WILL receive a tracking number in your email so you can keep an eye out for the Slow Earth treasures coming your way.

In case your pieces are damaged through transit, please keep the broken item, all of the packaging and get in touch with Australia Post ASAP (or your local carrier when international). You will be able to make a claim for the damaged item through Australia Post. Please let me know when this happens so I can prioritise an available replacement order when preferred and/ or offer any help needed with the claim process.

Due to the intricacy of securely packaging your ceramic ware we're unable to accept returns or offer refunds on all shipped items. Local returns are possible within 10 days of purchase. Please check our refund policy for specific details regarding local returns.
